Monster Hunter Aquino

“We cannot expect Corona to be a sterling example of good governance,” presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda told Agence France-Presse just before the start of the trial, which is expected to take months.

“Removing him would be a vital cog in the president’s fight against corruption.”

Aquino won a landslide election victory in 2010 largely on a platform to end the corruption which has plagued the Philippines for decades and which he says got worse under the decade-long reign of his predecessor, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Immorally Principled

Of Principles and Morals

Corona says "Manalo, matalo, ang mahalaga rito ay maipakilala ko ang sarili ko. Let it not be said that I did not defend my principles. I am still fortunate because I have the opportunity na panindigan ang aking prinsipyo, not all are given this opportunity."

The “true and fair view” can be what you make of it, depending on your principles.

The Crown Of Gloria

The Impeachment trial is tomorrow, Monday January 16, 2012.

To keep myself in the loop, I've decided to search all over the Internet and compile all the information I deemed pertinent to keep me abreast of all the facts and issues so that when I seat down and listen to the trial proceedings, I won't be caught uninformed.

Here are some of the many information available online, with some editing and added opinions of my own, and arranged in a way I find more streamlined and conducive to easier understanding - minus some of the hype.

I'll get back to all of these and insert clearer facts and "subtract" redundant or erroneous entries.

Of course, add my illustrations which I am very fond of. For the meantime, I am sorry to bore you with all the lengthy text.

The Corona Properties

“If they can find it, it’s theirs,” “I’ll execute a deed of donation. If they can show my properties, I’ll just give it to them. The problem with some people, I won’t say who, they think that I am a thief like them.” – Renato Corona.

The alleged Corona properties are located in the cities of Makati, ParaƱaque, Marikina and Taguig, according to a two-page letter from Land Registration Authority Administrator Eulalio Diaz III.

No Other Concert

All Sold Out !!!???

Anne Curtis teaches us how to sing and get away with it like a pro!

Tickets to her first major solo concert, "Annebisyosa: No Other Concert," have been selling like hotcakes since they became available. Fans are obviously excited to see their favorite actress-recording artist-TV host-fashion icon conquer the Big Dome on January 28.

Senate House Rules

Limited Seats

Like a blockbuster movie with limited seating, Corona’s impeachment trial in the Senate will provide seats to 175 private individuals, including 25 senior citizens inside the session hall.

The session hall has a seating capacity of 361.  However, many of the seats have already been allotted to the staff of senator-judges, House prosecutors and defense lawyers who will participate in the trial.

Even media has not been spared from the limited seating conundrum.

Monday The 16th

Friday the 13th Vs Monday the 16th

Today is Friday the 13th ...Many have superstitions attached to this date that will happen 3 times this year, January, April and July....But I think the people would have to fear more Monday the 16th...for it's the start of the Impeachment Trial..

The Impossible Win

The Impossible Dream

“This is not my personal fight, this is the fight of the judiciary and democracy. If this is only for me, there is a simple solution. But this is not my personal fight. We will make known what is right under our Constitution,” says Corona.

This statement was given by Corona immediately after the sixth and final novena Mass held on the Supreme Court grounds. Chief Justice Renato Corona and his wife Cristina turned emotional at the conclusion of the novena sponsored by Solidarity of Sovereignty, a group calling for the preservation of the independence of the judiciary.

Romulo - Soledad Nuptial

“Our emphasis is always to strengthen family. We believe that a lot of the solutions to the problems in the country will be best addressed by a family that is strong, united and strengthening and caring for the children that they bring into this world. We hope that this will be what the union of Roman and Shalani will be able to achieve.” says President Aquino

With that I congratulate Roman Romulo (Pasig Congressman and son of Alberto Romulo, former Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs(DFA) ) and Shalani Soledad (Valenzuela, Bulacan Councilor and Wil Time, Big Time co-host) for their upcoming wedding.

It's More Fun To Be A Filipino 2

In support of the Department of Tourism's  "It's More Fun In The Philippines" campaign slogan.

The Philippines is more than a bunch of islands and old churches, It’s the fun Filipino people that complete the Philippine tourism experience. It’s the people that differentiate us from other destinations.

Wherever you go in the Philippines, it’s the Filipinos that will make your holiday unforgettable.

You can find a Filipino, whether full , half or three quarters(is there such a thing),  not just in the Philippines but all over the world and already proudly making a name for themselves....so that means "fun" time everywhere you go!

Midas Marquez: Spooksperson

The Midas Touch

Supreme Court Administrator and Spokesperson Midas Marquez was named after King Midas, the legendary king who was popularly known in Greek mythology for his ability to turn everything he touched into gold. It was called the Golden touch, or the Midas touch. It was his parent’s chosen name because it they said that his father’s business flourished immediately after he was born.

The TV monitors are kind to Marquez because he really looks good and dignified everytime he’s infront of the cameras and broadcasting the latest court rulings or decision.

He also squirms when being called The New Crush ng Bayan, owing to the cool image that he projects on national television even if he’s announcing a controversial decision of the Supreme Court.

But when a video of him went viral over the Internet showing him shrieking after a microphone that fell during a press briefing, Marquez's quirky reaction prompted the online community to question and speculate about his sexuality.

Nazarene Terror Threat

A World Record

This year's Feast of Black Nazarene: Three million devotees on a 22-hour procession that started at around 7 am of January 9 and ended approximately 6 am of January 10.

Holy cow! This should be on the Guinness book of world records! What a long day it was especially for the devotees! The Arroyo transfer from St. Lukes Medical Center to the Veterans Memorial Medical Center detention was “light-speed” compared to this.

Erection Hardness Score

The 4 levels of EHS, or the Erection Hardness Score

Grade 4 or "Optimum" erection is the highest level which can be likened to the hardness of a cucumber. It not only helps achieve sexual satisfaction but also indicates a generally healthy condition among men.

Grade 3 or "Suboptimum" erection, which is hard enough for penetration but not as hard as Grade 4. It can be compared to an unripe banana.

Grade 2 is not hard enough, like a peeled banana.

Grade 1 is likened to a serving of tofu.

2012: End Of The World

Is the end of the world near?

One of the theories is based on a purported ancient Mayan prediction and fanned by the several marketing machines behind “end-of-the-world” movies, books, articles and documentaries,  the world will end on 2012 - December 21, 2012 to be exact.

But could humankind really meet its end in 2012—drowned in apocalyptic floods, walloped by a secret planet, seared by an angry sun, or thrown overboard by speeding continents?

At least one aspect of the 2012, end-of-the-world hype is, for some people, all too real: the fear.

Cover Girl Jinkee

"Belo Magic" Trolled Magazine

Belo Magic, Calayan Wonders, or Photoshopped?

A certain magazine cover has raised the brows of many people, especially the online community,  because of a striking "difference" compared to the real personalities.

Jinkee Pacquiao, wife of Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao asserts that she did made extra efforts to go on a strict diet to get slimmer just for the Mega magazine photo-shoot.  Although she does not deny that the final magazine cover image may have been "polished" and improved to make her look better.

Ramgen Revilla and Janelle Manahan Sex Video

An alleged sex video of the late Ramgen Revilla and his girlfriend murder-survivor Janelle Manahan  has gone viral over the internet and is now creating quite a buzz.

Are we desecrating the memory of the dead by spreading this vicious sex video of the victim with his girlfriend? Should the twisted minds that allowed this to spread virally over the Internet be prosecuted by the law? So what if Janelle and Ramgen had a sex video? Is somebody trying to use the social media for their extremely tasteless deed?

Welcome 2012!

One Lab Accident Away From Being A Supervillain

It’s a poorly guarded secret that I am a geek.  Actually, given that I have been known to hang around and troll within online forums and social networking sites, it’s not much of a secret at all. I am indeed a geek, and I must say: I proudly embrace geekdom.
