A World Record

This year's Feast of Black Nazarene: Three million devotees on a 22-hour procession that started at around 7 am of January 9 and ended approximately 6 am of January 10.

Holy cow! This should be on the Guinness book of world records! What a long day it was especially for the devotees! The Arroyo transfer from St. Lukes Medical Center to the Veterans Memorial Medical Center detention was “light-speed” compared to this.

Ang Mundo Ay Isang Malaking Quiapo

This was created as an online mockery of the proposed Hollywood-like signage which was planned to be constructed at the base of the Taal Volcano located in Batangas. This idea was said to have come from the Governor and actress Vilma Santos, and became to be know as the "Batangas Meme".

Vilma Santos got flak and received such an uproar, saying that the idea was stupid, and may even cause damage to the natural beauty of the volcano.

Everyone in the online community, especially in Facebook, in the Philippines, and even outside the country started submitting their own Hollywood-like signage and put them just about everywhere they could think of.


There was an FB Page, HollywoodPilipinas, created that accumulated quite a collection because of the numerous submission of netizens.
