Annabelle Rama VS Nadia Montenegro

There is a Twitter war going on right now between talent manager Annabelle Rama and former actress Nadia Montenegro.

Nadia Montenegro filed a child abuse case against Rama a few weeks ago. Rama was the manager of Montenegro’s two children. Their fast-escalating row began two months ago when Montenegro accused the Gutierrez matriarch of abusing her children, Alyanna and Annika, both minors who are Rama's talents. It's because of this that the former actress decided to file child abuse, oral defamation and falsification of documents cases against Rama.

Their first face-to-face encounter happened  during a clarificatory hearing held at the sala of Fiscal Liezel Aquiatan-Morales of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court.

Annabelle Rama was reported to have flared up and gone ballistic when Nadia Montenegro allegedly consistently lied in front of the fiscal. The clarificatory hearing was being held to iron out details about the case based on the complaint of Nadia Montenegro. The fiscal reviews facts material to the case to determine the merit of the complaint or lack thereof. Annabelle Rama reportedly stormed out of the clarificatory hearing, but some reports said she was forcibly dragged out from the prosecutor's office by a security personnel. Rama later revealed on Twitter that it was her personal bodyguard.

Interviewed by reporters outside of the fiscal’s office on why Rama was so enraged “Kasi sinungaling siya, e. Deny siya nang deny sa fiscal. Tapos parang dinidiin niya ako. Sabi ko, ‘Magsabi ka ng totoo sa fiscal, wag kang magsinungaling!’ Rama replied

“Kasi mga tanong kasi ni fiscal, hindi niya masagot-sagot…. Sinungaling siya. Sabi ko, Bayaran mo ang utang mo sa akin! Sabi niya, wala siyang utang. Kapal ng mukha niya!" Rama added

When asked how the incident will affect their case, Annabelle’s lawyer, Atty. Derrick Delegencia, said it is up to the fiscal to appreciate what transpired. They will be filing their counter-affidavit next week.

Noli De Castro, former Vice president and now back at ABS-CBN as one of its top newscasters  had expressed his opinion during an episode of TV Patrol that Rama should not have showed that kind of attitude in front of  Montenegro's children.

"Di naman tama na magsalita ng ganun sa harap ng mga bata," said De Castro before the newscast ended.

Later that day, a series of tweets coming from both parties, along with tweets from their immediate families, relatives and from fans and supporters flooded the twitter world and even caused it to be one of the trending topics.

From Rama's followers:

"Ang IN ngayon  ay ang palabang totoo na walang inuurungan! Yan ang dapat para walang naaapi. " said one of Rama's followers on twitter

"The only people mad at you for speaking the TRUTH are those living a lie." says another

From Nadia's followers:

"This family should try drinking clorox to wash their filthy mouths. It runs in the family. Gutter ppol will always be gutter.So bitter ppol."

"GOD is the best Listener, U don't need to shout nor cry out loud because HE hears even the very silent prayer of a sincere heart.."

Rama had a lot to say about Montenegro and her daughters: 

"Kaya naging klepto ang anak, kinukuha ng nanay ang sweldo ng anak nya walang tinitira ni piso. Ni napkin walang pambili"

"Dapat ang ganun klaseng nanay makulong at latiguhin sa loob ng kulungan! Ginamit ang mga minors!"

"Magpasalamat ka may respeto pa ako sa fiscal, kundi... PAK! PAK! PAK! TOK!!!!"

Yssa Asistio tweeted these:

"Keep talking that blah blah blah :)"

"She would always say na " hindi kayo mananalo kasi wala kayong pera " so? Ibig sabihin nun? Pagwalang pera walang pagasang manalo sa kaso?"

Meanwhile Montenegro had these to say:

Richard Guttierez tweeted this to Rama:

"Calm down haha. Just focus on how incredibly blessed we all are. No reason to dwell on negative energy"

Ruffa Gutierrez also tweeted this to her Mom:

"I said a prayer for u tonight. Relax, go to the spa, count your blessings & don't waste anymore energy on them. Listen to me k?"

After guesting in an FM radio show, Rama's fans had this to say:

Out of  Control

Even before she got into a court battle with Rama,  Montenegro was aware of what she was getting herself into but she still pushed on for her daughters sake.

"Ang gusto ko lang sabihin kay Annabelle, hindi ako duwag, at lalong hindi ako takot sa iyo. Kung lahat ng tao kaya mong takutin, ako, hindi ako puwedeng matakot,” Montenegro said

"At, punung-punong-puno na ako. Dun nanggagaling ang lakas ng loob ko," she added.

Fearless as she seems to be, Montenegro says she never imagined this whole thing to spin out of control like it did.

"Hindi na biro ito kasi hindi ko naman gagawin ito, ang ganitong kalaking gulo...Hindi ganito ang gusto ko, e.

“Kaya lang, hinihiling ko lang naman, pakawalan niya ang anak ko, e. Dahil alam ko kung saan na papunta. Alam naman natin lahat, hindi naman tayo tanga," she maintained without really explaining what she meant.

She insists that she won’t back down against Rama no matter what.

"Alam mo, ang akin lang, I'm here dahil gusto ko lang sabihin na hindi ako duwag. I'm here, haharapin ko lahat hanggang sa dulo,” said she.

"Hindi madali yung mga pinagdadaanan namin. Sobra nang sakit, pero gusto ko, pag nawala man kami bukas ni Boy [Asistio, her husband] sa mundong ito, mga anak ko, matututong lumaban. Hindi magpapaapi kahit kanino,” Montenegro stated.

Lately Montenegro said:

Ha ha ha 

When Rama said "Babangon ako at Dudurugin kita", It would have been fun if  she just said " Babangon ako at tutuhugin kita" then Montenegro would reply back with: "Babangon din ako at dadaganan naman kita."

Rama has kept saying "Baboy" to  Montenegro, ....Hello...siya ba slim?

Both are chubby, but there is no quarrel to the obvious that Montenegro is indeed of a larger built compared to Rama.



But enough of these Twitter war.

Secretary Hillary Clinton once said that all people deserve to be treated with dignity, no matter who they are or whom they love.

We should treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you, not because they are not nice, but because YOU are nice!

GOD is the best Listener. You don't need to shout nor cry out loud because He hears even the very silent prayer of a sincere heart.

When Aquino cited a litany of alleged questionable decisions made by the Supreme Court during the First National Criminal Justice Summit, Laila De Lima also felt that it was but proper of her to side with the President that day even though the court justices and staff almost did a walkout for what her boss did.

What is stopping the friends and supporters of Rama and Montenegro to feel the same way, and to what extent are they willing to do just to show their support?

Rama or Montenegro?, Aquino or Corona? KC or Piolo? DJMo or Rhian?

Why take sides? Both can & should learn, as my wife and I learned after our nth argument yesterday.

Each of the two sides are fighting for what they believe in, but it is too bad that their families and close friends were also dragged into the scene to show their support. In reality, they don't exactly know if  they soothed one's troubled emotions or if they just fueled their anger.

Everyone in the online world has this mantra: "Comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable." As much I respect ones right to self expression, I have no respect for people who bash others under a pseudonym and think they are being cool. Or even worse those hiding behind a pseudonym and trying to be controversial and offensive to catch attention and hopefully more followers.



Money Matters

Rama said "Mukhang pera si Nadia", and Montenegro has declared that Rama has not given her daughters their rightful talent fees.

So it all falls down to money matters.

Is money truly the root of all evil?

I remembered what my dad once told me about the bamboo. He said that as it increases in height, it bends down. Similarly, as we level up, bend over backwards for others. Umiikot kasi ang mundo. You will never know how long you will be on top, and when you're on your way to the bottom.

I also remembered when I was already starting to earn quite a lot. My mom would remind me to keep my feet on the ground. She said it's not the money that will make me a success, it's what I do with the money that makes a significant impact to society.

Rama and Montenegro were the best of friends before, Montenegro would ran to Rama for assistance especially for financial help, just as Joseph Estrada and Chavit Singson were formerly best friends and drinking/gambling buddies. But what happened to their friendship?

So sad.

I hope everything would be settled between the two, for the sake of their children.
