To Be Or Not TV

Finally, A TV At Last!

Ang Galling Pinoy party-list Representative Mikey Arroyo announced that her mother, former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, will soon be getting a radio and television set inside the Presidential Suite of the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC).

This was because Judge Jesus Mupas of the Pasay RTC branch 112  Regional Trial Court (RTC) already allowed Arroyo to have TV and radio access in detention, as well as one hour daily of sunlight.

Commission on Elections (Comelec) lawyers earlier said that they had no objection to Arroyo's request for a television and radio. They also posed no objection to Arroyo's request to be allowed to walk and get some sun inside the VMMC compound every day, and to attend Mass at the VMMC chapel on Sundays, provided that the former President has ample security.

They also did not object to requests that Arroyo's lawyers be allowed to use cellphones and laptops inside the VMMC provided that they bring these items with them when they leave the hospital.

However, the Arroyo lawyers had to seek permission from the court first before bringing in their personal laptops and cellphones since the Philippine National Police is strict in implementing the court's orders.

On the other hand, the Comelec lawyers still objected to Arroyo's request to use a laptop and cellphone.

There is still no news if Mupas has ruled on Arroyo's pending motion to be allowed to undergo house arrest during Christmas.

A source at Veterans said a television set was already brought in by Arroyo’s lawyers when they visited her a few days ago. The source also said Arroyo went out of the presidential suite at around 8 a.m. so she could take in some sun.

Arroyo's Handwritten Letter

In other news, Arroyo also issued a statement on a piece of a yellow paper (in compliance with the hospital’s strict policy of disallowing communication devices inside the presidential suite - why hasn't anybody suggested a manual or even an electronic typewriter?) asking Filipinos to continue praying for the victims of Tropical Storm “Sendong”, which battered several areas in Mindanao last week.

Arroyo lived in Iligan City during her childhood.

Statement of former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, December 19,2011

bata pa akong maliit = little girl
Pa-simpleng pagpaalala ito ng "alleged" banta sa kanyang buhay na "put the little girl to sleep." Story fabrication. Perjury!

Ano ibig sabihin nito? That the government can't get its act together? Malinaw na destabilization ito. Sedition!

"Patuloy po tayong manalig at magdasal sa poong maykapal"
Under whose authority is she asking prayers from? Hindi ba niya alam na ang pamilyang Cojuangco-Aquino lang ang may exclusive appointed authority and power of attorney sa Poong Maykapal? False representation!

In another handwritten message Arroyo said she and members of the House minority bloc will donate their salaries to jumpstart the collection of donations for Sendong victims.

She said the donations will be coursed through Caritas, Red Cross and other charitable organizations chosen by minority lawmakers.

In her message, the former President urged Filipinos to do away with lavish Christmas parties this year and instead use the money to help the victims of Sendong.

Pnoy has already cancelled his Cabinet Christmas Party, and many others have already put off holding lavish Christmas parties and instead encouraged donation drives for Typhoon Sendong victims.

Help CDO. One For Iligan! All for Typhoon Sendong Victims!

Another Publicity Stunt to Get Sympathy?

“We may put color (whatever color we want) but as someone who lived for several years in a place that was hardly hit by a storm, and being a former president at that, no one can question the intention of the person unless you can read what her heart really feels.”

Or First To Express Her Sympathy?

All Words, No Action?“Hindi kailangan ng message, ang kailangan dito hindi lip or written service. Her family stole billions from this country, ano ba naman ang P100 Million na donation?

Or Hands On?

“Buti pa si Mrs. Pidal noon, kahit dahil sa "photo-op," hands-on. E yung PaNutsa, hanggang delegate lang. Order this so and so. Mrs. Pidal might be a cheater, even a murderer but my gawd she’s hands on. Not like someone, SPOILED BRAT?”

“Hands on? Hands-on sa pagiging show-off at pagiging plastic!”

Who’s To Blame?

Gloria while writing her hand-written statement:

She can be his apologist..Sanay na sanay na siyang magsinungaling at magmukhang kawawa sa harap ng TV..."

Final Note/Huling Hirit:
There is no argument.

In times of national crisis, the President should be on top of things ASAP.

He has to see for himself at ground zero, so that he will feel the urgency and the dire situation that his people are in.

And his personal presence  would play a strong role to the morale of his people.

Gloria, keep watching on your TV!

We'll be sending you a typewriter!
