Cash Or Kind Birthday

It's not my birthday yet, but it's an advance notice...hehehe

This also applies during the Holiday season - actual gifts would be better appreciated :)

Birthdays, Burpdays, and Berkdays

Birthdays

It is our special day where we grow a little wiser
See the world a little more mature and a whole lot better
Reminiscing our stupid mistakes and laughing about it
Dreaming of future endeavors and promising to work hard for it

Pangako ko sa buhay ko ay magbabago na ako
Tatalikuran na ang lahat ng masasamang bisyo
Haharapin ang bawat umaga na may ngiti at taas noo
Mag-isip ng positibo at wag madarang at maperwisyo

Burpdays

The only day aside from Christmas when I could get to eat all
Never minding the fat, the sweet, and the cholesterol
Spaghetti is my favorite, with matching meatballs and garlic bread
I could eat all day after that I would go to bed

Hindi ko maatim na hindi kainin ang pancit bihon, ginataang alimango at litson
Sangkatutak na espesyal na mga lutuin mula pa noong unang panahon
Sabayan ng lumpiang prito, dinuguan at pati puting puto
Kahit ano ang ialok sa akin, ito ay kakainin, yan ang totoo

Berkdays

A berk is an idiot, a prat, a prick, or a twat
You might as well ask why there is a day for a person like that
He is the moron who in his natal day would generously treat
then later would boasts of how much money he spent in his tweets

Animoy kami'y may utang na loob na sa kanya
Panay hingi ng pabor kapalit yata ng treat niya
Sabay sumbat pa kapag di mo naman napagbigyan
Gusto ko na tuloy iluwa ang libreng kinain sa handaan

Final Note:

Kaya mga kaibigan tayo sana'y maging maligaya sa ating kaarawan
Isiping age is just a number at maging positibo kahit na lumaki ang tiyan
Bilbil dito at double chin diyan, hindi magiging hadlang sa ating kaligayahan
Basta tayo ay nabubuhay na walang inaalipusta o tinatapakan

Birthdays are fun indeed, but not so much if  from a friend you just received a tweet
A Facebook greeting could be enough but is not so very sweet
Your digital messages are witty, your animated pictures are pretty, your e-cards so fine
But on my very special birthday, I would prefer either cash or kind.
